Choosing Daxxify should include a clear discussion about the possibility that it may last longer. Adjusting an unwanted result is harder when the product remains active for several months.
Treatment may need to wait if you have an infection at the planned injection site, a known allergy to a botulinum toxin product, certain neuromuscular conditions, or a prior serious reaction. Your provider should also review pregnancy, breastfeeding, medications, and other health concerns before treatment.
Seek immediate medical care for difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing after treatment. Both products carry warnings that toxin effects may spread beyond the injection area.
